Hyla lanciformis, a species of tree frog native to the Amazon rainforest. Like most tree frogs, this large species has specially adapted sucking discs at the ends of the fingers, allowing it to hold on to branches and tree trunks. Normally uncommon in primary rainforest, H. lanciformis is found in greater numbers where the forest has been disturbed by man, by road building or colonization, for example. Photographed in Ecuador.
