20/02/22 Land Rover Defender splashes spectators with only umbrellas fro As heavy rain and river levels rise, more than sixty spectators turn-out to watch 4X4 drivers splash their vehicles through Rufford Mill Ford, near Newark. Most of the vehicles went through multiple times. Many people, children included, stand on a pedestrian bridge crossing the river Maun, knowing they are likely to be splashed. The crossing has recently been made famous by many YouTube videos showing vans, cars, lorries and motorcycles attempting and sometimes failing to make it through the Nottinghamshire crossing. It is fast becoming a Mecca for off-roaders who like to see how deep their cars can go without spluttering to a halt.
