STACKING AND BALING In Stacking hay, especially if it is to remain long in the stack, it is important to place the hay so that it will settle evenly, and more so near the margins than at the centre. This is accomplished by dumping the forkful in the centre of the stack, and then distribut- ing it evenly, keeping the middle a little high. If the rick form is used the fork should be dumped along.
