Quartzite erratic carried by glacier from Mount Edith Cavell to the prairies in the Pleistocene Epoch, later used by bison as a rubbing stone, Canada

This glacial erratic, part of the Foothills Erratics Train, was carried by glacier ice from Mount Edith Cavell in the Rocky Mountains of Jasper National Park to the Canadian prairies. The small basin around the rock was created by the bison as they rubbed on the rock. Calgary city skyline is in the background.
