Dawlish Warren beach at low tide, seen from above the rock armour along the sea wall near Langstone Rock.

Granite rock armour was first installed along the sea wall here in the 1920's to protect the adjacent railway line. This was further strengthened in 1992 by the addition of larvikite shipped from Norway.
