Army SSG Jeremy Lorton encourages Air Force Airman 1st Class Bethany Parolin, 312th Training Squadron, Goodfellow Air Force Base, Texas, as she carried a hose for nearly 50 yards during training at the Louis F. Garland Department of Defense Fire Academy, Oct. 15, 2015. The joint military academy serves as the gateway for Air Force, Army and Marine firefighters. Within 68 training days, these service members learn the necessities for saving lives as a fire fighter, eliminating complex fires and communication.
