Leaves oblong, elliptic or ovate, slender-petioled, entire, thin, green on both sides, obtuse at the apex, narrowed rounded or truncate at the base, 1-3' long, 4'-!5' wide; flowers in loose axillary and terminal panicles; calyx less than l' wide, its segments oblong, subacute or obtuse, sorne- what scarious, not keeled, not completely covering the top of the fruit; styles short; seed firmly at- tached to the pericarp, horizontal; embryo a com- plete ring.
