COCGSCOMB. fCeloisia Cristata. —Highly ornamental plants producing crested heads of flowers resembling a cock's comb, while others are featherly. T Cristata Nana Ruby. 334 CELOSIA CRISTATA NANA RUBY.—An absolutely new, distinct and most beautiful color which has struck all of our friends who had an opportunity of seeing it in our grounds. The plant grows about 12 inches high producing flowers of a perfect shape and of quite a peculiar most lovely crimson color displaying still more its charm under the sunlight. The stalks also are al- most of the same color and the leaves are of a brownish red, giv- ing the plant a most lovely appearance. 10c. 335 PYRAMIDALIS MONSTROSA.—This new and remarkable kind stands between the C. cristata and the C. pyramidalis; its bushy habit is like that of the C. pyramidalis while the flowers and specially those of the main stems are more like those of the C. cristata. They are dark red, the leaves dark green spotted more or less with dark red. The plant grows most vigorously to about.
