The 371st and 372nd Infantry, along with a portion of the 360th Infantry and over 2,000 sick and wounded soldiers, were transported to the port of Hoboken, NJ on the USS Leviathan, the largest number of American fighting men brought to the port on one ship. Both the 371st and 372nd Infantry were decorated with the Croix de Guerre and were brigaded with the French. The photo was received on February 11, 1919 and passed the Military Intelligence Department censor
