Walker on the Durham Heritage coastal walk illuminates WW1 soldier sculpture on Seaham seafront in pre dawn light on a showery, overcast start to the day on the north east coast. The 9ft 5ins, tonnes steel soldier sculpture by local artist Roy Lonsdale, which commemorates the ending of the first world war, was put on display on the seafront at Seaham on 30th, May, 2014.
