That the churches be urged to givesnecial attention to a complete response tothe Every Member Canvass on March 9,1947, or thereabout, and that Tithing as aspiritual principle, and not merely as amoney-raising device, be urged upon thechurches to the end that members be madeconscious that they are giving to God, andnot merely to the budget. 10. That the askings of each church befixed at 25 percent over the accepted ask-ings of 1946-47; or an amount equal tothe approximate gifts of the Church in1945-46 plus 10 percent, whichever be thelarger sum. 11.
