Kutch is a large district in North-West Gujarat, with a population of only 2 million. It is inhabited by a variety of ethnic groups who have managed to preserve their traditions. The Vagri are a scheduled caste found in the states of Rajasthan and Gujarat in India, and the province of Sindh in Pakistan. They are divided into a number of sub-divisions, one of the the main ones being the Datanias who sell twig toothbrushes.
