Burscough, Lancashire. UK Weather. 17th October, 2017. Calm amber evening over Martin Mere as flocks of geese return to roost in the wetland nature reserve. During the winter months the reserve is home to tens of thousands of birds, ducks and geese who migrate from Iceland and Greenland to overwinter. Goose & Swan migration is well underway their are currently 2000 Pink-footed Geese roosting on the reserve.
