It was roughly estimatedthat there were upwards of 10,000 peo-ple at the park, most of them grjcersand their friends, and the steamer Mod-jeska had to make a large number oftrips during the day to help out theregular boat in handling the crowd. Conditions could hardly have beenmore favorable. The day was warm, andsunshiny, but at che park the coolbreezes from the bay made everythingpleasant and everyone to)k full advant-age of these happy conditions to thor-oughly enjoy themselves.
