The rocks of Coar Holm, of the south of St Ninian's Isle, off the west coast of south Mainland on Shetland, Scotland, UK. These rocks are of the Colla Firth Formation - semipelite and psammite - metamorphic bedrock formed approximately 541 to 1000 million years ago. Originally sedimentary, these rocks were later altered by low-grade metamorphism.
