Mr. George, theTreasurer of the Academy, who wasthe last speaker of the evening, gaveus clearly the needs of the school andalso made an appeal to the Sons ofDummer to help build a new Dormi-tory which is sorely needed. Plansand prospectives were about the hallshowing a fine building on paper. Itis a large three story structure, capa-ble of holding fifty-eight boys and amaster. It is to set on the knollbeyond the Peirce Cottage, and if itbecomes a reality will greatly benefitthe Academy. Cheers often resounded throughthe hall and the Senior class fur-nished music between the present had a fine timeand hopes to have another next year. 28 THE ARCHON. We wish some of our exchangeswould note more carefully the nameof our paper, for although it is aname rarely seen in modern books, yet every student of Greek historyshould recognize it. Anchor, Ar-cher on, Actif and Archive are a fewof our misnomens. It does give usa little fun but we wish, neverthe-less, to be rightly called. The Pinkerton Critic wasamong our new exchanges and wewere very glad to receive it. It isan attractive paper, very well puttogether, both as regards externalappearance and internal subjectmatter. We hope they will continueto exchange with us, for knowingtheir athletic abilities we also wantto know about their school life. The story How Sam Went toCollege, in the February number ofthe Chronicle is highly interest-ing, and the whole paper is up tothe usual standard of excellence. Overlook Military Academy sentus a copy of their paper this monthand it is, in our opinion, a substan-tial little paper. The editorial onLocals is a little harsh, for a goodlocal
