Stephanodiscus sp. diatoms, two centric, round cells in valve view, with the fine pattern of the frustule, the housing of the diatom cell, composed of amorphous opaline silica with organic coatings. The chloroplasts of diatoms contain fucoxanthin, which covers the green chloroplasts. That makes the brownish-golden color of all diatoms.
