The cars are mounted. MEXICAN MOTOR CAR. on the No. 21-E truck with 7 ft. 6 ins. wheel base; themotors used have a capacity of 40 hp each. The trailers,measure 27 ft. ^ in. over the end panels, are 6 ft. 3 over the sills and are mounted on gear trucks. In connection with the contract recently placed by theUtah Railway & Light Company with the General ElectricCompany for motors, as noted in the Street RailwayJournal of Sept. 14, it is learned that the Utah Companyhas placed a contract with the St. Louis Car Company forfifty steel cars. The new cars will be longer and widerthan those now in service and have greater seating feature of them will be a Detroit platform 6 ft. seats in the middle of the cars will be turnovers, whilethose at the ends will be longitudinal. The National Brake& Electric Company was awarded the contract for thebrakes.
