Yellow taxis in the area of Seaport and Civic Center, , New York City, New York, United States of America, North America. Civic Center is a neighborhood in downtown Manhattan covering the area of the City of New York. Bordered on the west by Broadway, on the north by Chinatown, on the east by the East River and Brooklyn Bridge, and south Financial District. As in other civic centers, their location includes also the several official buildings like City Hall, One Police Plaza (offices of the Police Department of New York), the Manhattan Municipal Building and the Jacob K. Javits Federal Building. Foley Square and City Hall Park New York are also in the neighborhood. The African Burial Ground National Monument, Pace University, the Beekman Downtown Hospital and South Street Seaport are very close, and even they are sometimes posted in the Civic Center.
