Rathaus Steglitz, Historic Neo-Gothic town hall, red brick building built 1896-8 was integrated into the modern Das Schloss shopping centre in 2005 – Steglitz,Berlin,Germany The city library was also integrated into the new shopping centre and the centre has direct access to the Underground U-bahn station. In 1901 Karl Fischer founded the youth movement Wandervogel in the Ratskeller in 1901 and there is a memorial plaque on the Grunewaldstrasse there is a memorial plaque that depicts the migratory bird of prey.
