The Airmans Grave
'The Airman's Grave' in Ashdown Forest. A memorial to six airmen killed when their Wellington bomber crashed here in 1941, returning from a raid in Germany. Despite it's name, 'The Airman's Grave' is in fact just a memorial to the dead airmen. Their bodies were taken back to their home towns for burial.
