Dumper truck discharges top soil for environmental reinstatement works close to construction of new motorway.

Following any large construction project like a new motorway, the surrounding land must be carefully decommissioned and return to its original owner in (as far as possible) its orginal state. The topsoil is stripped at the start of construction and usually retained in bunds (mounds) around the boundary of the site to be reinstated with landscape planting carried out to replace any loss of vegetation at the project's completion.
