Smith is a member of the committee appointed by the Retail Mer- chants' Division of the Woonsocket Businessmen's Association, for the mid- winter Dollar day. Mrs. Timothy O 'Connor is visiting her daughter at the latter's home in At- lanta, Ga. Mrs. Lizzie Max has transferred to Joseph Koppelman land with improve- ments, on Pawtucket avenue, East Prov- idence. W. H. M. ROCHESTER, N. Y. The Market. Ijittle difference is seen in the florists' activities this last week from those re- corded a week ago. Business is quiet throughout this section. The extreme shortage of cut flowers tends to hold prices up. With bright days and light frosts at night, the weather is springlike and this condition benefits our business by bringing more stock into the market and undoubtedly will bring down prices. Carnations during the last week have been more plentiful and bring from $o to $6 per hundred for good stock. The majority of them arc of splendid qual- ity. In roses the supply at ])rcscnt bal- ances the demand, which is not large. Columbia, Sunburst and September Morn are in strong demand. Prima Don- na, Ophelia, Maryland, the Killarneys and the Wards move well. Good Scott Keys and Hoosier Beauties sell well.
