Branch Factory: 709 Firat Am., Smo York City, Tatephone Vanderbilt 4976 pectation of pulling it out Sunday. The loss was complete. T. N. S. LANCASTER, PA. Florists' Club Meeting. The Lancaster County Florists' Club met April 19, at the Hotel Brunswick, at 6:15 p. m., when a Susquehanna shad dinner was served to the thirty-five members present. The tables were beau- tifully decorated with spring flowers by B. P. Barr. A business meeting fol- lowed, presided over by President Harry K. Rohrer. The club made its annual gift of flower seeds to the Children's Gardens, a well organized association, in which many children receive their first glimpse of the wondrous joy of gardening. The club also gave to the Iris Club, a society composed of Lancaster's rep- resentative women, a silver cup, to be awarded as they see fit, either at their spring show for amateur gardening ex- hibits or in their contest for the im- provement and planting of back yards. Mrs. Albert M. Herr is president of the floricultural department of the Iris Club and has accomplished much. Two new members were elected. The executive committee, composed of B. F. Barr, Elmer J. Weaver, Ira H. Landis, M. J. Brinton and Mrs. A. M. Herr, has arranged a series of enter- tainments never excelled in the twelve years of the club's history. A "sociability run" is contemplated in June, to call on the Beading Flo- rists' Club, and in September B. Vin- cent, Jr., & Sons Co., at "White Marsh, Md., will be visited. The annual picnic.
