32 Class 27 0-6-0 locomotives of the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway were transferred to the Western Front in early 1917. They had a poor reputation, especially those that exchanged their 6-wheel tenders for 8-wheel ones off LNWR 0-8-0s.
