Forty aircraft visited Shobdon airfield today in fine weather as part of the Light Aircraft Association ( LAA ) UK Tour 2016 including this homebuilt Plumb biplane. This year the LAA is celebrating 70 years since it was originally founded as the Popular Flying Association ( PFA ).


Shobdon airfield, Herefordshire, UK- Tuesday 30th August 2016 - Forty aircraft visited Shobdon airfield today in fine weather as part of the Light Aircraft Association ( LAA ) UK Tour 2016 including this homebuilt Plumb biplane. This year the LAA is celebrating 70 years since it was originally founded as the Popular Flying Association ( PFA ). The aircraft departed Duxford, Cambridgeshire on Saturday 27th August and flew north to tour Scotland before reaching Barton, Manchester yesterday. The tour tour departed Shobdon this afternoon heading south to Henstridge, Somerset and onto Cornwall tommorrow. The tour will finish at Sywell airfield, Northamptonshire on Friday 2nd September.
