Walking bridge. Passing by the west side of Sanjo Bridge, near where the Ikedaya Incident (involving the Shinsengumi) occurred, you find Sanjo Dori Shopping District. This is one of the oldest shopping districts in Kyoto. It is always crowded with young people. It is the where the former hideout of Sakamoto Ryoma was located, and where Sakuma Shozan and Ohmura Masujiro were assassinated.
