Getting the Office Work Started As each department had a telephone, we decided toput one calculagraph in the office, to keep the time cardsin the office, giving the workmen paper duplicates, andto have the workmen telephone to the office for orders,the time clerk stamping their cards in the office. Small cabinets were madeto hold these timecards near the tele-phone in each depart-ment. The design ofthe cabinets is shownin Fig. 5.
