Wreck of the Creteblock, a steam powered, concrete hulled tug, wrecked on Whitby Scar, and seen from the Cleveland Way.

The steam powered tug Creteblock was built during WW1 as an experimental ferro concrete structure. In 1948 it was intended to scuttle her in deep water but she began to sink and was allowed to drift on to Whitby Scar, where she broke up.
