EIGHTH ARMY : VARIOUS - Two South African soldiers who were captured at Tobruk on 21st June 1942, and who managed to escape owing to the desertion of the Italian guards. For the last 10 months they have been living in the hills, where they were discovered and brought in by a British patro. They are, left to right:- Maile of South African Signals of 6 Brigade, who lives at 7 Klein Street, Rouxville, Johannesburg, South Africa, and of 2nd Regiment who hails from "Highview", Kalk Bay, Cape Town, South Africa.
