River Landscape with three bare willow-trees at right and a long winding wooden bridge at centre leading to a village, 1546. Augustin Hirschvogel made 35 independent etched landscapes between 1543 and 1549, after moving to Vienna and the Danube region. Hirschvogel was a glass painter, potter, mathematician, and cartographer as well as an etcher with over 300 prints to his credit.
