A German wheellock rifle, circa 1620 Octagonal smooth-bore barrel in 12 mm calibre with brass front sight and iron sights. Slightly chiselled wheellock with double set trigger (the cock soldered). Slender walnut full stock with bone nose and patchbox (the forestock broken at the lock and restored with inserted wooden parts). The butt and the cheek with engraved and blackened bone inlays. Iron trigger guard with finger rests. The wooden ramrod as well as the bone ramrod tubule are replacements.
