A carpet with a tree of life, of the Deutsches Heimatwerk (German homeland association) for the yule and SS corner Maroon and white wool woven in Beiderwand technique typical for Schleswig-Holstein. With this technique a double fabric is produced and the reverse shows a colour negative of the front. Depicted is the tree of life in the centre amid representations of animals, unicorns and deer standing for fertility, swans for an abundance of children, etc. Seven suspension loops.
