Duck candlestick around 1150-1200 Khorasan (Hammered copper, repoussé, engraved, inlaid) Khorasan, is a historical region lying northeast of Greater Iran, including northeastern Iran, much of Central Asia and Afghanistan.


This candlestick was made with a single sheet of metal. The ducks in round bump on the shoulder, the felines in semi-round bump and the bosses in relief which chant the wall were not fixed on the object, but created by hammering of the interior the thin metallic sheet.
