Mining core samples. Mineral core samples obtained during a mineral exploration project set out on trays ready for logging and analysis. Hollow drill rods were used to cut a cylindrical core of rock from the ground. The extracted core is analysed to find suitable sites for mining. Photographed in West Kenya.
