The ventricular bands were irregularly hypertrophied asif they were in part formed of granulation tissue. The larynx formed asort of funnel, at the bottom of which was seen an irregular spacethrough which air passed with a whistling sound and without its beingpossible to distinguish the vocal cords, which had apparently disappeared,or were hidden from sight by the great hypertro]5h>- of the mucousmembrane (Fig. i)..
