TOKYO (June 16, 2018) -- Jiro Akama, State Minister of Cabinet Office, delivers his opening remarks during a welcome ceremony for the Military Sealift Command hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19) following the ship's arrival in Tokyo. Mercy is making port visits to Yokosuka and Tokyo to promote relationships between Navy Sailors and Japanese citizens through cultural exchange and bilateral training.
