RWANDA, NYAMAGABE: Marie Mukadera lives in one of the poorest districts of Rwanda. She has a small house and luckily a bigger piece of land and owns two cows. The soil is very acidic so it is a day to day challenge to do agriculture there. Her husband is in jail so she is taking care of their five children alone. She belongs to an agricultural cooperative, part of UNICOOPAGI which is member of IPC network (supported by GIZ-Good Governance). Marie is very dynamic and she is very knowledgeable about how to grow vegetable and to take care of cows. She is currently selling all her produce on the local market. Photo by Claudia Wiens
