Some of the largest remaining Douglas Fir trees on Vancouver Island grow in Cathedral Grove in MacMillan Provincial Park. Many trees are up to 800 years old. Douglas Fir with Latin Name Pseudotsuga menziesii. Also known as Pseudotsuga mucronata and Pseudotsuga taxifolia.
