We make a specialty of fine rhododendrons, carrying a large stock, and can furnish them in large quantities in assorted sizes. They are really the plants among hardy shrubbery: there is hardly anything that equals them when in bloom for effectiveness, llany who hare planted rhododendrons have found them unsatisfactory because the right varieties have not been selected. The Ponficiim varieties are often sold because they can be offered for less money, and some of the brighter, more highly colored varieties, which are tender and only useful for forcing, are planted. This has resulted in disappointment to the buyer and a general belief that rhododen- drons are not thoroughly hardy and satisfactory-, but this is not so. K the proper varieties are planted, they are thoroughly reliable and perfectly hardy, and will stand our hardest winters. Our experience goes to show that only a few varieties of rhododendrons are thoroughly hardy and satis- factory, and when other varieties are planted, it is more or less liable to result in dissatisfaction. The varieties offered below have been tested as far north as Boston, and have been found to stand for years dui-ing the most severe %vinters. and if our customere will confine their selection to these varieties, we are satisfied they will find them satisfactory in every respect.
