Spray the bushes well with powdered hellebore in water, one ounce to the pailful. Shower the bushes with water a little hotter than the hand can bear and destroy the worms that are dislodged and drop to the ground. Hand pick the leaves when the larvae are young and grouped on them. The young larvae are to be found usually on the lower leaves of the bushes and can be detected.
