5TH FLEET AREA OF OPERATIONS (May 10, 2017) Sailors participate in physical training on the flight deck aboard the amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall (LSD 50) during Chief Petty Officer 365 training. Carter Hall, part of the Bataan Amphibious Ready Group, is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of maritime security operations designed to reassure allies and partners, and preserve the freedom of navigation and the free flow of commerce in the region.
