Security operations are implemented daily through pre-planned programs using a random and strategic methodology. Joint Task Force Empire Shield is designed to respond to a wide range of incidents. By developing a highly trained force in incident response and command, the Task Force prepares for domestic emergencies caused by humans or natural phenomena using lessons learned and best practices. Airmen, working alongside Army National Guard soldiers, patrol areas around New York City, including JFK Airport, Penn Station, and the World Trade Center.
