Why should dress goods and storeclothes and boots and shirts, and collarsand ties make better or more interest-ing window displays than dont, its the men behind theglass who make it so. Herewith inpicture is a Winnipeg sample. This isthe window of J. Robinson & Co. Itshows an array of Gold Standard. Window Partition of Wood. section, when lie would not have timeto change his whole window. Changingone section at a time would keep thewindow looking fresh. Two illustrations of partitions arehere shown. These are sketched frompartitions actually in use, but are in-tended as merely suggestive. One is ofwood and looks very handsome in thewindow. The other is of iron. Some-times the latter has brass trimmings andis of different shape, but these are mat-ters of choice. For some purposes aneven more effective partition than eitherof these is made of two sheets of platemirror back to back. Sometimes thebar iron is used for the near wall ofthe window also.
