. Peter Ducane (1713-1804) was a merchant, Governor and director of both the Bank of England and the East India Company. His wife, was a wealthy heiress, the only duaghter of Henry Norris, a Muscovy merchant. The family are depicted in the grounds of their house at Braxted in Essex.
