Clock tower of the Minneapolis City Hall was designed by the architects Franklin Long and Frederick Kees in 1888.
Clock tower and copper roofs of the Minneapolis City Hall and Hennepin County Courthouse (also known as the Municipal Building) were designed by the architects Franklin Bidwell Long and Frederick Kees in 1888. The main building is used by the city government of Minneapolis, Minnesota as well as by Hennepin County, Minnesota. The architectural style is Richardson Romanesque. When constructed, the building claimed to have the world's largest clock. At 23 feet, 4 inches (slightly over 7 meters), the faces are four inches (10 cm). The building is built of Ortonville granite.
