A passenger jet lands from the west at London City Airport. The Canary Wharf business district, the Millennium Dome (housing the O2 Arena) and the Emirates Airline cable car can be seen in the background. Constructed on a disused quay in London's Royal Docks in the 1980s, the airport is 5 miles from the City of London.
