This photograph, taken on August 2, 1918, shows the soldiers continuing their advance after suffering losses the previous day while storming German machine gun positions. The troops were initially relieved for rest, but due to the rapid retreat of the Germans, they had to move to more advanced positions. Boncheres, France.
