An employee of KP “Kyivzelenbud” carries out mulching on the holes of evergreen plants with wood chips at a collection point for New Year trees at the production base of KP SZN Obolonsky district in January 2, 15 collection points of New Year trees have been operating in Kiev. The collected trees are processed into wood chips in a special shredder and used in the spring to mulch (protect the soil from drying out and overheating) the holes of evergreen plants. Last year, the communal association "Kyivzelenbud" accepted for the disposal of more than 5 thousand Christmas trees.
