The galleryfloor, extending from the north end of the shop to the boilershop space at the south end, is reinforced concrete slab, sup-ported by I-beam floor joists and steel girders. It projects be-yond the line of columns and is provided with four landings foruse in placing material in the gallery by means of the ten-toncranes, which run on rails 33 ft. 9 in. above the main floor.
